Responsibilities:

• Provide care for MedSurg/Tele patients including those with joint replacements, fractures, colon resections, COPD exacerbation, prostatectomy, cellulitis, sepsis, ortho trauma, GI bleeds, pneumonia, and failure to thrive.
• Titrate drips such as Heparin, lidocaine, and ketamine.
• Assist in care for MS Neuro patients including strokes, stable neurological deficits, and post neurosurgery procedures.
• Engage in hourly rounding and maintain responsiveness.
• Participate in a unit-specific orientation for 2 days.

Requirements:

• Current RN license with no license or background hits.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• Travel experience preferred, but strong candidates without will be considered.
• Must pass an open book skills exam during orientation with a score of 90% or higher.
• Driver's license required at submittal to verify compliance with the 50-mile radius rule.
• Adherence to fingernail policy prohibiting artificial nails in patient care areas.
