Human Resources Specialist

Job Summary We are seeking a Human Resources Specialist for a contract/temporary opportunity in Union City, CA within the education industry. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys supporting the full employee lifecycle, building strong relationships with managers and employees, and helping maintain a compliant, organized, and positive workplace. Key Responsibilities Manage employee lifecycle activities, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, retention support, offboarding, and exit interviews. Partner with hiring managers on recruiting efforts, offer letters, new hire orientation, and completion of onboarding documentation. Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, COBRA coordination, and employee benefits communication. Maintain accurate HR records, employee files, job descriptions, salary structures, and compliance-related documentation. Support employee relations, performance management, policy communication, conflict resolution, and manager guidance. Track leaves of absence, workers' compensation claims, safety programs, ergonomic processes, and injury reporting in compliance with applicable regulations. Compensation and Benefits Salary Range: $70,000 to $80,000 per year. Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
