Labor And Delivery Registered Nurse (Rn)We are seeking a skilled labor and delivery registered nurse (rn) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-risk obstetrics and be comfortable providing care in a fast-paced environment.Unit InformationUnit: labor and deliverybed capacity: 2 ob ed beds, 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor rooms, and 2 operating roomsaverage deliveries: approximately 300 deliveries per monthratios: follow state and awhonn guidelinesShift Detailsshift length: 12 hoursguaranteed hours: 36 hours per weekshifts available: daysweekend requirement: every other weekend (may work more depending on rotations)holidays: required to work 2 out of 3 major holidaysQualificationsexperience: minimum of 2 years in labor and delivery nursingcertifications required:acls (advanced cardiovascular life support)bls (basic life support) certificationnrp (neonatal resuscitation program)advanced fetal monitoringcerner experience: requiredResponsibilitiesprovide comprehensive care to high-risk obstetric patients and their newbornscoordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomesperform nursing assessments, develop care plans, and monitor patients' conditionsdocument patient care activities and outcomes accuratelyparticipate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to perinatal care standardsfloat to postpartum as needed; float to nicu may also be requiredAdditional Informationcommon diagnoses: high-risk obstetric patients with multiple comorbidities, including multiple birthsspecial considerations: experience with surrogates and multiple birth scenarios is a plusiv skills: must possess strong intravenous skillsorientation: floor-specific orientation lasting 2 shiftsresource nursing: a resource nurse is available to support clinical staff during shiftsjoin us in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families in a supportive and collaborative environment.client details state ca
