Job Overview RestorationHQ is a Phoenix-based commercial restoration company dedicated to delivering rapid, high-quality emergency services to businesses across Arizona. Founded in 2015, the company was established to prioritize the needs of property owners and managers, focusing exclusively on the commercial sector. Specializing in water damage, fire and smoke restoration, mold remediation, biohazard cleanup, and asbestos abatement, RestorationHQ offers 24/7/365 emergency response services. Their team of certified technicians ensures swift action to minimize damage and restore operations with minimal disruption. As the Director of Sales & Business Development, you will lead a team of Biz Dev/Sales professionals responsible for client acquisition and retention across RestorationHQ’s key verticals. But this role goes beyond traditional sales leadership. You will also serve as a brand ambassador and marketing driver for RestorationHQ — actively shaping how we show up in the market through social media, digital engagement, and consistent storytelling about who we are and what we do. With headquarters in Phoenix and a branch in Tucson, RestorationHQ continues to expand its reach — and this role is central to that growth. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Culture: Lead, inspire, and manage the Biz Dev/Sales team. Set the tone for a high-performance, collaborative culture where people feel heard, valued, and motivated to win. Address interpersonal friction, attitude issues, and team dynamics proactively and constructively. Goal Alignment & Vision Execution: Receive the company’s vision and strategic goals from ownership and translate them into clear, actionable objectives for the sales team. Ensure every team member understands the “why” behind the direction and is aligned in execution. Talent Development: Coach and develop a team of young, raw sales professionals. Identify individual strengths, close skill gaps, and build personalized development plans that accelerate growth and retention. Sales Strategy & Growth: Develop and execute strategies to drive new business acquisition and expand existing client relationships across all assigned verticals. Hold the team accountable to measurable goals and performance standards. Social Media & Brand Marketing: Own RestorationHQ’s social media presence as an active participant — not just an overseer. Regularly create and post content across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and others) that showcases our team, our work, our culture, and our expertise. Help establish RestorationHQ as the go-to commercial restoration brand in Arizona through consistent, authentic digital storytelling. Digital Engagement & Community Building: Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and build an active online community around the RestorationHQ brand. Identify and amplify opportunities — project highlights, team wins, client milestones, industry insights — that reinforce our reputation and generate inbound interest. Recruiting & Team Building: Participate in identifying and recruiting new sales talent as the team scales. Help build the team you want to lead. Client Engagement & Escalation: Step in when needed to support key client relationships, elevate critical issues, or close high-value opportunities. Be a resource and a closer for your team. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, marketing, and leadership to ensure the sales team is set up to deliver on what they promise clients — and that our marketing efforts align with what’s actually happening in the field. Reporting & Accountability: Maintain accurate records of team performance, pipeline health, and sales activity. Provide regular updates and forecasts to ownership with transparency and clarity. Emergency Services Advocacy: Champion and prioritize promotion of RestorationHQ’s 24/7/365 emergency response line as a key differentiator — both in person and through digital channels. Market Intelligence: Stay current on industry trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics to keep the team sharp and identify new growth opportunities. Qualifications Proven track record in sales leadership — experience in restoration is strongly preferred, but top candidates from any industry will be considered. Extensive experience managing, mentoring, and developing sales teams, including early-career professionals. Demonstrated ability to build team culture, resolve conflict, and foster an environment where people thrive. Strong record of translating organizational goals into team-level execution with measurable outcomes. Active and comfortable presence on social media platforms, with experience creating content that builds a brand and engages an audience — not just personal use, but also business-focused posting and engagement. An understanding of how social media, digital marketing, and in-person sales work together to build pipeline and brand reputation. Exceptional communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills — ability to lead with candor and empathy. Experience building and implementing sales strategies, managing pipelines, and hitting revenue targets. Proficiency with CRM software and other digital sales tools. Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority. Strong problem-solving skills and composure under pressure — especially in an emergency-response business environment.
