Executive Sous Chef

Job Description Job Description Responsibilities Deliver knowledgeable, efficient, and professional service in a fast-paced, high-standard kitchen environment Develop creative specials featuring seasonal ingredients and unique offerings that complement the restaurant’s seasonally changing menu Contribute ideas and support the development of seasonal menus Support the Chef with daily kitchen operations, service execution, and overall back-of-house leadership Recruit, onboard, train, schedule, coach, and supervise back-of-house team members Lead the kitchen team during assigned shifts and ensure quality and operational standards are consistently maintained Work the line as needed while maintaining proper timing, quality, consistency, and presentation Train and develop kitchen team members while providing ongoing coaching and feedback Ensure recipes, portions, plating, and presentation standards are followed Maintain high standards for food safety, sanitation, organization, and cleanliness Assist with prep planning, inventory management, ordering, product rotation, and waste reduction Help manage labor and food costs while improving overall kitchen efficiency Troubleshoot issues during service and take initiative to keep operations running smoothly Communicate effectively with chefs, kitchen staff, servers, bartenders, support staff, and management Ensure proper food handling, storage, labeling, and rotation procedures are followed Maintain clean and organized stations, equipment, and work areas Ensure kitchen equipment is operated safely and properly Support menu launches, seasonal changes, and team education in partnership with management Assist with opening, closing, prep, cleaning, and other kitchen responsibilities as needed Perform additional duties as needed to support successful restaurant operations Benefits Competitive compensation 401(k) with company match of up to 4%, with 100% vesting once eligible Medical, dental, and vision benefits Harvest Scholarship Program Employee Referral Program Flexible scheduling Career growth and development opportunities Seasonally changing menus and opportunities for culinary creativity Eco-conscious company culture \nCompany Description The Restaurant Zone is a leading hospitality recruitment agency specializing in connecting top-tier talent with restaurants, hotels, and hospitality groups across the United States.
