Gig Restart Solutions (GRS) is a professional driver support company dedicated to assisting rideshare and gig economy drivers facing account deactivation and related challenges.

Our mission is to help drivers navigate the reactivation process by providing administrative assistance, document preparation support, case coordination, and resources to help them pursue available options for resolving account disputes.

We work with individuals experiencing deactivation issues involving platforms such as Uber, Lyft, and other gig economy service providers.

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and organized Paralegal to support our growing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with civil litigation, small claims procedures, legal research, document preparation, and case management.

Key ResponsibilitiesLegal Research and Document Preparation

• Conduct legal research involving civil litigation procedures, small claims courts, contract disputes, and rideshare account deactivation matters under appropriate attorney supervision.
• Assist with drafting and organizing court-related documents, including complaints, statements of claim, affidavits, demand letters, and supporting exhibits.
• Research applicable court filing procedures, jurisdictional requirements, statutes of limitations, and filing fees.
• Assist with reviewing client documentation, including deactivation notices, appeal correspondence, earnings statements, and supporting evidence.
• Prepare case summaries and organize documentation for attorney review when required.

Case Management and Court Coordination

• Maintain accurate records of active driver reactivation cases.
• Track filing deadlines, scheduled hearings, court appearances, and required documentation.
• Assist clients with administrative filing instructions and court-related scheduling information.
• Coordinate with attorneys and authorized representatives regarding case preparation and scheduled appearances.
• Maintain communication with clients regarding case status, missing documents, and upcoming deadlines.
• Assist with preparing hearing folders, evidence packages, and case timelines.
• Monitor case progress and provide updates to management.

Rideshare Driver Reactivation Support

• Review driver intake forms and supporting documentation for completeness.
• Assist with preparing administrative appeals and reactivation requests submitted to rideshare companies.
• Research publicly available Uber, Lyft, and other platform policies regarding account deactivation and appeal procedures.
• Help organize documentation supporting clients' requests for account review or reinstatement.
• Assist with preparing lost-earnings summaries using client-provided financial information.
• Coordinate communications with rideshare companies and their designated departments.
• Maintain detailed records of communications and case developments.

Client Communication and Administrative Support

• Respond professionally to client inquiries by email and telephone.
• Explain GRS administrative processes, documentation requirements, and service procedures without providing legal advice.
• Schedule consultations and coordinate client follow-up communications.
• Maintain confidential client information and secure electronic records.
• Prepare progress reports and case updates for management.
• Assist with improving internal case management procedures and client service operations.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Criminal Justice, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with legal document preparation, research, or administrative case management.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to manage multiple client cases and meet established deadlines.
• Strong customer service and professional communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with management and supervising attorneys.

Preferred Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate or bachelor's degree in Legal Studies or a related field.
• Experience supporting civil litigation, small claims proceedings, or contract disputes.
• Familiarity with Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC court systems.
• Experience with court filing procedures and electronic filing systems.
• Knowledge of rideshare platforms such as Uber and Lyft.
• Experience with client intake, case management software, and legal document organization.
• Familiarity with preparing financial summaries and supporting evidence for civil claims.

Recent paralegal program graduates and candidates with relevant administrative or legal support experience are encouraged to apply.

Pay: $16.00 - $26.00 per hour
