Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 labor and delivery care with continuous fetal monitoring; perform sterile vaginal exams (SVE) as required (hardstop)
- Assist with cesarean deliveries, including intraoperative support and postoperative recovery care
- Manage high-risk antepartum conditions (e.g., preeclampsia) and administer IV medications (e.g., magnesium sulfate, Pitocin) per orders
- Deliver newborn care, including NRP and couplet care; monitor and support transition to the postpartum period
- Perform internal monitoring (IUPC) and interpret fetal heart rate patterns; respond to abnormalities promptly
- Collaborate with CNAs, surgical techs, delivery providers, and health unit coordinators; document thoroughly in EPIC

Requirements
- Active RN license valid in Washington (compact license acceptable) and in-hand at submission
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery/high-risk perinatal nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted; preference for facilities with 200+ deliveries; 100–200 deliveries may be considered
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring
- Proficiency in fetal monitoring (EFM) with ability to interpret/act on abnormal patterns; SVE competency (hardstop)
- EPIC charting experience; ability to work in a high-acuity L&D unit; weekend shifts required; must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day)
