Accounting Assistant I

This is a full-time, on-site position in Casper, Wyoming

What You'll Do:

• This position provides support to our sister companies: Brick and Bond, True Ranches LLC
• Performs data entry into accounting systems.
• Performs basic account reconciliations.
• Validates data against system reports.
• Verifies that controls and processes have been followed.
• Ensures all entries are adequately supported, as per procedures.
• Works with operations to complete processes.
• Completes other projects as assigned.
• Participates in monthly, quarterly and annual close processes to ensure all relevant data has been captured in appropriate time period.
• Opens mail and send professional emails.
• Scans documents.

What We're Looking For:

Required Education, Experience and/or Abilities

• A high school diploma and zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in an accounting environment; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
• Basic accounting knowledge
• Skilled in oral and written communication.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, computer reports and accounts receivable or accounts payable reports.
• Ability to mathematically calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

Computer Skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook software applications.
• Understanding of basic database programs.
• Ability to use 10-key by touch.
• Proficient data entry.
• Ability to operate a copier, fax machine, and scanner.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• English language fluency, verbal and written.
• Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.
