About the Role The Visitor Services Representative works under the guidance of the Visitor Services Supervisors and the Visitor Services Operations Manager. The role focuses on admission transactions, membership recruitment, and renewal services. The position requires frequent standing, interaction with visitors, and occasional evening or weekend work. Essential Duties Contribute to a positive guest experience through hospitality, information, and service. Greet visitors, introduce membership options, and highlight benefits. Manage traffic flow at both membership and admission windows. Process admission and membership transactions using Ticketure POS, Ticketure CMS, and Raiser’s Edge. Adhere to financial protocols for opening and closing procedures. Answer inquiries and orient visitors throughout the property. Interact with members, volunteers, readers, board, trustees, and donors as needed. Maintain an up‑to‑date knowledge of all membership levels and benefits. Acquire new members and assist current or lapsed members with renewals. Promote upgrades and steward memberships using on‑site strategies. Process related paperwork, issue temporary cards, and manage payment collection accurately. Keep the admissions and membership windows well stocked and tidy with current materials. Initiate and execute special projects to enhance the visitor experience. Troubleshoot concerns, provide solutions, and report to the Supervisor as required. Assist with special events, including VIP lists, guest wristband preparation, and morning operations setup. Back up the Visitor Services Shuttle Driver when necessary. Candidate Requirements and Experience Strong communication skills and sensitivity to diverse audiences. 1–3 years of retail cashier or customer service experience. Track record of outstanding customer service. Computer literate with interest in sharing collections with guests. Professionalism in all interactions, both internally and externally. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. College education preferred. Prior knowledge of Raiser’s Edge and Ticketure is a plus. Multilingual abilities (Spanish, Mandarin) are a plus. Working Conditions Work at admission booths and check‑in points indoor and outdoor, frequent computer and phone use, standing for extended periods, and occasional evening or weekend shifts. Compensation & Benefits Pay rate: $18.50 per hour. Discounts at the Huntington Store and affiliated restaurants. Free admission to participating museums and cultural institutions.
