PATIENT OBSERVATION LEAD (FULL TIME)

Job Summary Lead the Patient Observation Associates team at Ascension Seton Hays , ensuring safe, timely, and accurate observation of patients who cannot be left unattended while supporting the department’s managers in the successful operation of the Patient Observation and Transport Program. Location & Schedule Location: 6001 Kyle Parkway, Kyle, TX 78640. Full‑time schedule: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM; days may vary. Rotating weekends and holidays required. Pay: $18.50 – $21.50 per hour. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead the daily work of other Patient Observation Associates. Communicate with associates, staffing resources, client staff, and leadership as appropriate. Coordinate associate assignments and communicate with client personnel as needed. Ensure float break coverage to support associates at offsite accounts when applicable. Communicate policies and procedures to ensure compliance, standardization, and process improvement. Complete shift reports, break sheets, and associate patient assignments to ensure coverage and support. Perform all duties of Patient Observation Associates. Cross‑train in Patient Transport and/or other departments when applicable. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Prior patient observation supervisory experience required.
