Business Development Representative (Insurance) - CO/Kansas City Our client is a growth stage technology and data‑driven commercial insurance wholesaler backed by a leading private equity firm. They combine the worlds of insurance and technology to create an insurtech powerhouse. We’re helping them hire a Business Development Representative for their Northern California territory. You’ll be responsible for contacting new and existing brokers to explain features and benefits of the company’s programs—no cold calls as all clients are current. You’ll conduct daily video conference calls, facilitate product webinars and website demonstrations, and participate in industry trade shows. Employment Type: Full‑Time Permanent Location: Anywhere in Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Georgia, Colorado, Miami, Kansas City, and Inland Empire – work remotely but MUST be physically located in the area . What You’ll Do Contact new and existing brokers to explain features and benefits of our programs. Compile, organize and relay crucial information to close quotes. Maintain producer marketing database. Facilitate product webinars and website demonstrations. Execute weekly telephonic campaigns to maintain a pipeline of qualified agency appointments. Assist with corporate communications, marketing, and advertising. Participate in various industry trade shows. Recommend ideas for and follow up on corporate and individual promotions. Develop referrals from brokers, carrier partners, and other vendors. Complete special projects as assigned by management and perform other duties as requested. Requirements 1–3 years’s previous sales experience in commercial or personal insurance lines. Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma minimum. Proficiency in Salesforce and aptitude to navigate software easily. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills. Ability to forge long‑term relationships with brokers, agencies, and carrier partners. Eager to learn and motivated in career progression.
