Make a meaningful difference for high school students by joining a dynamic academic environment as a School Social Worker for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position begins as soon as possible and extends through late May, offering the opportunity to work full-time (37.5 hours per week) on-site at a single high school campus near Arvada, CO. Your supportive expertise will serve a diverse student population, including those with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) requiring mental health services.

Ideal candidates are licensed School Social Workers with strong familiarity in Special Education (SPED), especially with experience supporting students having mild-to-moderate, Affective Needs, or Significant Support Needs. The caseload and specific service minutes may vary but will center on making a positive impact for students in need of social and emotional intervention.

What You’ll Need:

• Current Colorado Department of Education Special Services Provider License with Social Worker Endorsement
• School-based experience, preferably with SPED and mental health services
• Flexibility to work on-site for the duration of the assignment
• Ability to complete time-sensitive district credentialing prior to start
• Competence in providing support services through IEPs for high school-aged students

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct social work and mental health support to high school students
• Develop and implement student-focused intervention strategies
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and outside agencies to optimize student outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all casework
• Participate in IEP meetings and ensure all services align with legal and academic requirements
