About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Development and Engagement Officer to spearhead a transformative role that integrates fundraising, alumni engagement, and strategic communications. This executive will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive advancement model that places donor and alumni relationships at the forefront of the institution's future. The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team, set and achieve ambitious performance metrics, and personally engage in the cultivation and closure of significant gifts. A key aspect of the role is to ensure that the three integrated enterprises operate as a cohesive unit, driving affinity, pride, and philanthropic momentum. The ideal candidate for the Chief Development and Engagement Officer position at the company will have a strong background in progressive fundraising leadership, with a proven track record of securing major gifts. They must be adept at aligning people, messaging, and strategy across a complex organization and be a confident, collaborative ambassador. The role requires a visionary leader who can make alumni engagement the cornerstone of lifelong philanthropy, and who is capable of mentoring a team while also being hands-on in the cultivation of relationships with donors, university deans, and provosts. The focus is on creating a unified, strategic approach to advancement that supports the institution's highest priorities and fosters a culture of giving and support.
