- Fundamental understanding of HMO/PPO/POS delivery system and claims billing
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends
Description:
This position has primary objectives concerning customer relations.
Provide follow-up and prompt resolution to member inquiries.
Conduct thorough investigations and fully educate members and customers.
Support corporate and departmental goals and member enrollment activities.
Research, investigate, and resolve service failures.
Improve customer experience by identifying root causes and recommending resolutions.
Educate members and prospective members on health coverage options.
Respond to inquiries by telephone, mail, and in person.
Research and answer inquiries, complaints, and appeals.
Document all incoming inquiries to track member inquiry history and trends.
Maintain confidentiality according to Privacy and HIPAA regulations.
Seek training and development to enhance skills and abilities.
Monitor workflow inbox and outstanding cases to ensure timely responses.
Contact members to ensure timely resolution and follow-up to inquiries.
Interact with support departments professionally to meet member needs.
Develop and maintain strong business relationships with inter-departments.
Self-educate on changes in policies and procedures that impact operations.
Attend training and development sessions to maintain enhanced skill levels.
Interact with providers to obtain information for resolving inquiries and complaints.
Ensure compliance with all standards, policies, and procedures.
Recommend process improvements based on observations and trends.
Coordinate and assist with various departmental projects and initiatives.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Handle incoming phone calls, greet patients, and register for services.
Check patients in and out when presenting for services.
Handle end-of-day cash reconciliation.
