Senior Accountant

Job Summary The Senior Accountant is responsible for moderate to complex accounting activities and ensuring the integrity of the financial information by recording, analyzing, verifying, and approving transactions for the United States entities. The role includes selective internal and external financial reporting and support, interaction with plant controllers, external auditors, corporate consolidations, financial planning, and analysis, as well as operational teams. The Senior Accountant manages assigned projects and oversees the completion of cross‑functional and cross‑site activities. This particular position focuses on revenue accounting for the Med Tech Business and requires knowledge of IFRS15. *This position requires working onsite in LakeZurich, IL 3 days per week; remaining days may be worked remotely. *This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship either now or in the future. Salary Range: $90,000–109,000 Eligible for an annual bonus plan with a target of 6% of the base salary Final pay determinations will depend on experience, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities Benefits include a 401(k) plan with company contributions, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, employee assistance program, health, dental, vision, medical prescription coverage, and a wellness program Responsibilities Analyze and ensure assigned accounts are reconciled in accordance with the monthly close schedule and department guidelines Identify discrepancies, errors, and omissions and lead efforts for timely resolution Prepare schedules and analysis to support rebate reserves Review contracts with customers and ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with IFRS15 Prepare monthly journal entries Review and update assumptions used in significant estimates and accruals, prepare related journal entries and general ledger reconciliations Maintain, update, and ensure compliance with internal controls and account month‑end close procedures Maintain knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS requirements, and other relevant accounting regulations Analyze new transactions and advise colleagues on proper accounting treatment and reporting as needed Prepare moderate and complex quarterly and annual reporting schedules to support legal and management reporting requirements, following up with reporting unit controllers as questions arise Provide assistance to reporting units in correcting errors and resolving issues Prepare schedules for year‑end and quarterly audits, interact with audit team to resolve open items and address audit concerns Assist with internal controls and cross‑train as backup for other Senior Accountants within the department Lead and support special projects Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance; MBA is a plus CPA preferred 5+ years of related work experience Experience with large ERP systems (SAP preferred) Strong Microsoft Excel skills Benefits We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k) with company contribution, and wellness program.
