Base Salary: $90,000 $95,000



OTE: Approximately $130,000 $135,000



Travel: Approximately 2+ overnight stays per week

Job Summary

We are seeking a Northeast Field Sales Engineer to manage and grow an established multi-state territory across the Northeast. This is a technical outside sales position focused on developing relationships with distributors, resellers, and end users in the petroleum, fuel handling, transportation, terminal, chemical, and related industrial markets.

The ideal candidate will have experience selling technical equipment, components, or industrial products into the petroleum or fuel-handling industry and be comfortable managing a large geographic territory with significant customer-facing travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow sales throughout the Northeast territory.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers, distributors, resellers, and end users.
• Re-engage inactive and under-served accounts and identify opportunities to regain business.
• Prospect for and develop new customer accounts.
• Conduct approximately 15 20 face-to-face customer visits per week .
• Independently plan customer appointments, travel schedules, and territory coverage.
• Develop relationships with petroleum distributors, fuel fleets, tank truck operations, terminals, oil companies, and related industrial customers.
• Understand customer applications and recommend appropriate technical products and solutions.
• Develop end-user relationships that support product specifications and sales through distributors and resellers.
• Maintain accurate CRM records of customer visits, opportunities, leads, and sales activity.
• Participate in trade shows and industry events as required.
• Track territory activity, opportunities, RFPs, and overall sales development.

Ideal Background

• Proven experience in technical outside sales or industrial equipment sales.
• Experience selling products or equipment into the petroleum, fuel handling, transportation, terminal, or chemical industries is highly preferred.
• Experience selling through distributors or resellers while also developing direct end-user relationships is strongly preferred.
• Experience with products such as:
  • Petroleum and fuel-handling equipment
  • Tank truck equipment
  • Terminal and loading systems
  • Pumps and meters
  • Valves and instrumentation
  • Overfill prevention systems
  • Grounding systems
  • Vapor sensing/recovery systems
  • Terminal automation
  • Process controls
  • Fluid-handling equipment
  • Industrial electrical/electronic equipment
• Electrical/electronic technical knowledge is preferred; strong mechanical or related industrial equipment experience will also be considered.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $90,000 $95,000
• OTE: Approximately $130,000 $135,000
• Performance-based incentive opportunity
