Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, utilizing standardized tools and personal interviews to gauge the emotional, behavioral, and psychological needs of clients.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address specific mental health challenges, encompassing techniques for both individuals and groups.

• Facilitate telehealth therapy sessions, providing care through various formats, including one-on-one sessions and supportive group interventions.

• Continuously monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary based on a dynamic therapeutic approach.

• Coordinate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care providers, to discuss client referrals and associated treatment considerations.

• Engage actively with clients’ families to offer guidance and support for managing mental health challenges within family dynamics.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on best practices in psychotherapy and emerging trends in mental health treatments, ensuring the highest quality of care.

• Document all client interactions, treatment progress, and referrals in compliance with HIPAA and organizational guidelines, leveraging electronic health record systems like AVATAR.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients and foster a safe, supportive therapeutic environment.

• Comprehensive knowledge of clinical assessment techniques and treatment planning involving evidence-based methodologies.

Preferred Experience\n
