Role Description The Senior Accountant at OMM Logistic Services LLC is a full-time, on-site position based in Dayton, NJ. This role is responsible for managing the general ledger, preparing and reviewing journal entries, and ensuring accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings. Day-to-day tasks include preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, and maintaining fixed asset records. The Senior Accountant will monitor cash flow, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and support tax filings and compliance with relevant regulations. The role also involves analyzing financial data to provide insights to management, improving internal controls, and collaborating with operations and leadership teams to support sound financial decision-making.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and variance reporting to support strategic and operational decisions.
• Proficiency in accounting cloud software systems, as well as Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.
• Ability to manage account reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting with a high level of accuracy.
• Understanding of tax compliance, regulatory requirements, and internal controls within a corporate or logistics environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or relevant certification is preferred.
• Several years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including experience in logistics, transportation, or related industries.
• Demonstrated integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
