Role Description

Position: Principal Engineer

Location: Corona Del Mar, CA

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and enhance Medical Practice Software Platform.
• Build a performance dashboard and define REST APIs.
• Oversee system architecture and collaborate with offshore teams (QA) for stable, high-quality releases.
• Enhance and maintain the Partner Authentication System using Oauth2.
• Design and implement stateless authentication system in AWS for external partners to integrate with internal APIs.
• Implement stateless AWS-based authentication system for secure partner API integration.
• Design database tables to store partner credentials.
• Develop REST APIs to create partners and generate/validate JWT web tokens.
• Implement authentication and authorization systems using Oauth2, Cognito, and LDAP.
• Supervise backend and UI developers to implement user interfaces, APIs, and database changes.
• Design and implement DNS and website provisioning automation using AWS Hosted Zone.
• Design database tables to store workflow state data and develop REST APIs to manage the domain state lifecycle.
• Enhance backend and infrastructure engineering processes for scalability and reliability.
• Introduce technologies to improve efficiency and establish engineering best practices.
• Improve performance monitoring across platform services.
• Position is headquartered in Corona Del Mar, CA but allows for remote employment from various unanticipated worksites throughout the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Five (5) years of post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Development Tech Lead, Software Engineer, or in a related position.
• Experience must include:
• PHP and Laravel for legacy systems.
• Designing and implementing asynchronous, scalable systems using technologies like Kafka and PubSub.
• Architecting and managing cloud infrastructure with Kubernetes or Terraform.
• Working with healthcare data exchange standards including FHIR and HL7.

• Salary range: $184,552
• In compliance with California's pay transparency laws, the compensation range for this position will be provided and may include an hourly rate, annual salary, or On-Target Earnings (OTE).
• The specific compensation structure and detailed range will be discussed with qualified candidates during the initial talent screen.
• Remote Pay Range: $184,552 — $184,552 USD
