About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required. License: Pending license not accepted. Certifications: BLS required; OCN preferred. Must-Have: Oncology experience required. Description: The Registered Nurse will work on a Medical Surgical Oncology unit. Candidates with at least 1 year of experience are encouraged to apply. Oncology experience is mandatory, and oncology certification is preferred but not required. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. Patients will be adults with oncology and medical-related diagnoses. The nurse will be responsible for patient management during the night shift. The patient ratio will be 5 patients per nurse. Interdisciplinary support services are available, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Experience with EPIC charting system is required. Floating within the pod may be necessary. Weekend shifts will be required, with a minimum of four weekend shifts each month or every other weekend. Two references verifying experience are required prior to starting.
