Emergency Room Registered Nurse
Full Time Emergency Room Registered Nurse needed to provide rapid, high-quality care to patients in a busy emergency department in Grants, New Mexico. The role requires strong critical thinking and commitment to patient-centered emergency care. The position offers competitive compensation and a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a busy Emergency Department
- Perform rapid patient assessments and triage based on acuity
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency treatments per physician orders
- Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with physicians, providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Document patient care accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards
- Educate patients and families regarding treatments, procedures, and discharge instructions
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety guidelines, and emergency protocols
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Mexico or compact license
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Preferred Skills:
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
