Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description Job Description NextStep Recruiting has partnered with a growing healthcare services organization to identify an Accounts Payable Specialist in Plano, TX. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity that will work on-site Monday through Thursday, with the potential for a hybrid schedule upon conversion to permanent employment. This position is ideal for an experienced AP professional who thrives in a high-volume, multi-location environment, works with urgency, and can effectively manage competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy. Required: 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience within a multi-location organization High-volume invoice processing experience, including accurate GL coding Hands-on vendor statement reconciliation and discrepancy resolution experience Intermediate Excel skills, including VLOOKUP Demonstrated job stability, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment Preferred: Experience supporting Accounts Payable for a healthcare, multi-site, or similarly decentralized organization Experience with vendor setup, W-9 collection, and payment processing Exposure to automated invoice processing and ERP/accounting systems Experience assisting with month-end close activities Accounting-related education or equivalent professional experience This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive AP professional who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, and joining a growing organization where responsibilities can expand over time.
