Join us and help run what runs the world.This position reports to: Production ManagerThe work model for the role is: Onsite - Mebane, NCYour role and responsibilitiesIn this position as the 2nd Shift Production Supervisor will lead a team within a production unit or line in the execution of production processes to transform parts and raw materials into ABB products in a timely, cost-effective manner to achieve business overall metrics within the ABB values. Ensure continuous and efficient operation in accordance with volumes, schedules, procedures, drawings, and quality and safety standards and policies. You will also showcase your expertise by organizing and allocating resources to meet line production targets effectively and efficiently. You will be mainly accountable for:Ensuring that production scheduling and production plan meet the volume requirements agreed upon in the demand plan and defined inventory service levels.Recommending technical equipment and facility improvements as necessary.Identifying deficiencies in production area, proposing improvement activities, and overseeing implementation of actions to improve production performance.Managing the resolution of critical product or equipment issues together with relevant internal teams.Qualifications for the roleBachelor degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field, is preferred, PLUS minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing, production, or operations, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory responsibilities OR Associate degree PLUS minimum 7 years related experience OR High School diploma/GED PLUS minimum 9 years related experienceExperience working as a Production Supervisor, Team Lead, or similar role managing fabrication, assembly, or electrical/mechanical products, a plusStrong working knowledge of ERP systems (such as SAP), production planning tools, and standard Microsoft Office applicationsProven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with experience in problem-solving and process improvement.Effective communicator with strong English writing and speaking abilitiesSix Sigma certification, a plusCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.More about usABB Smart Power provides energy distribution solutions for data centers, industrial and manufacturing plants, critical infrastructure and commercial buildings.
