Job Title: Shipper

As a Shipper, you will be responsible for categorizing freight, organizing and palletizing products, and working collaboratively in a team setting to ensure efficient deliveries. Your role will include preparing shipments based on instructions from your computer, paperwork, or supervisor, counting and checking items before shipping, and reporting any discrepancies. You will pack boxes, label them, ensure correct weights, and load trucks or containers manually. Additionally, you will use a computer to track product locations and shipments, report any equipment issues, maintain cleanliness and safety in your work area, fill out daily reports, and adhere to company rules and safety guidelines. You may also be asked to assist with other tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shipments according to instructions from computer, paperwork, or supervisor.
• Count and verify items before shipping, reporting discrepancies.
• Pack boxes, add labels, and ensure accurate weights.
• Load trucks or containers manually.
• Use a computer to track product locations and shipments.
• Report broken equipment or problems to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Complete daily reports and paperwork as required.
• Adhere to company rules and safety guidelines.
• Assist with additional tasks as requested.

Essential Skills

• Experience in shipping/warehouse environments.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Proficiency in using RF Scanners.
• Skills in receiving, picking, and loading.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in shipping and material handling.
• Familiarity with inventory management.

Work Environment

The workplace offers three shifts to accommodate different schedules: 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm, 2nd shift from 2pm to 10:30pm, and 3rd shift from 10pm to 6:30am. The role involves hands-on activities such as loading trucks or containers, using technology like RF Scanners, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenfield, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.30 - $22.80/hr.
