With 120+ professionals, the firm delivers tailored solutions backed by deep expertise and is guided by core values of teamwork, excellence, quality, and trust—ensuring principal involvement and outstanding service throughout every project.Cochran's Union, Missouri headquarters' location, is looking for a Civil Project Engineer to join our team.Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support a wide range of civil engineering projects. This role is ideal for someone with an EIT certification who is actively pursuing or has recently achieved their Professional Engineer (PE) license. The ideal candidate brings experience in design, permitting, and construction support, and is ready to take on more responsibility in project coordination and client communication.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the planning, design, and delivery of civil engineering projects, including site development, roadway improvements, drainage systems, and utility infrastructurePrepare design plans, technical specifications, and cost estimatesPerform engineering calculations, site layout, grading, and stormwater modelingSupport project managers with schedules, budgets, permitting, and agency coordinationConduct site visits and assist with construction observation and documentationCollaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomesMentor junior engineers and support staff as neededQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related fieldEIT certification requiredPE license preferred or on track to obtain within 12 months3–6 years of relevant civil engineering experienceProficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong written and verbal communication skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environmentPreferred Experience:Familiarity with local, state, and federal design standards and permitting requirementsExperience working with municipalities, DOTs, or private developersKnowledge of stormwater modeling software or other civil design toolsBenefits:Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses100% company paid Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Long-Term Disability insurance for employees, plus company deductible assistance401(k) with 4% company matchGenerous PTO plan and 7 major holidaysContinuing education and professional development support
