Operations Manager - 1st Shift

Communicate with customers, vendors and team members to ensure customer commitments are met Demonstrate understanding of GXO's quality policies and establish procedures for maintaining quality objectives Guide supervisors on personnel, quality and safety matters Hire, train, develop and appraise staff Recommend programs to improve operations Handle equipment and coordinate maintenance needs with the maintenance team Maintain records appropriately and complete reports in a timely manner Enforce safe work practices and ensure warehouse compliance with OSHA and other standards/regulations Monitor and enforce safety procedures across all departments Requirements 4 years of relevant work experience Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment Availability for a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime and weekends Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field preferred 4 years of managerial/supervisory experience Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) Ability to maintain a safe work environment by monitoring and enforcing safety procedures Strong problem-solving techniques and statistical analysis skills Ability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods Ability to reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel Ability to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments Conditional offer recipients may be required to pass a pre-employment drug test Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in managing warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and implementing quality improvement programs.
