Litigation Paralegal

Location: San Diego, CA 92127

Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days in office / 2 days remote

Compensation: $90,000–$110,000 + bonus

Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

A San Diego boutique law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling complex federal and state litigation matters, with a focus on intellectual property and business litigation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, format, and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
• Manage discovery, including drafting, responding to, and organizing discovery requests and productions
• Assist with deposition preparation, including exhibits, outlines, and scheduling
• Assist with trial preparation and case management
• Coordinate filings, hearings, and deadlines with courts and opposing counsel
• Communicate with court clerks regarding filings and procedural matters
• Maintain case files and litigation documents
• Manage documents through SharePoint and maintain version control
• Provide general litigation support to attorneys throughout the life of a case

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of litigation paralegal experience
• Federal litigation experience required
• Trial preparation experience required
• Strong discovery experience, including propounding and responding to discovery
• Strong legal document formatting skills
• Experience with state and/or federal court filings
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Intellectual property litigation experience
• Trademark and copyright experience
• Federal e-filing experience
• Federal motion practice experience
• Knowledge of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
• Experience supporting matters from complaint through trial
