Supervisor, Manufacturing Operations 2nd shift (2B)

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a Manufacturing Operations Supervisor to lead second-shift cGMP operations at its Boston facility. The role involves supervising personnel, managing equipment operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining production schedules in a pharmaceutical drug product manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily manufacturing operations and assign work to shift personnel
- Oversee cGMP activities including equipment setup, operation, and cleaning
- Execute and witness batch records to ensure accurate, compliant manufacturing documentation
- Monitor GMP compliance and maintain facility audit readiness through procedure adherence
- Interface with cross-functional teams on facility operations and maintenance activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in scientific, technical, or engineering discipline
- 6+ years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience combination
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience
- Strong understanding of cGMP frameworks in pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Sound knowledge of drug development activities and standard operating procedures
- Cell therapy and aseptic manufacturing experience preferred
- POMS MES system experience preferred
Compensation: $97,900 - $146,900 base
