Job Title

Registered Nurse – Telemetry / Neurology

Location

Spokane, WA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | Weekends required (every other weekend)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit with a focus on neurological diagnoses and post-surgical neurology patients
• Utilize the NIH Stroke Scale to assess and monitor neurological status of patients
• Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:4, delivering safe and effective nursing care
• Float between units as needed within the facility or to nearby sister facilities
• Document all patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays as outlined in the contract agreement

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience, with neurology experience required
• Proficiency with the NIH Stroke Scale
• Experience caring for post-surgical neurology patients and varied neurological diagnoses
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify under travel compliance guidelines

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma, or teaching hospital environment
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and high-acuity neurological patient populations
