MRI Technologist - FT - Nights - $20K Sign on Bonus - MHW

Location Pembroke Pines, Florida Summary Performs magnetic resonance imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Responsibilities Charges appropriately for all supplies used for procedure and utilizes appropriate exam codes. Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Takes on‑call shift responsibilities as required by the department. When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate. Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes acquisition parameters and resulting sequences and identifies issues with the quality of images. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and/or repeating images/sequences in conjunction with interpreting physicians and standard protocols. Maintains MRI Safety in accordance with safety recommendations outlined by the American College of Radiology and hospital policy. Reviews patient history and physician’s orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient’s understanding and cooperation. BLS American Heart E‑Card, BLS American Heart RQI E‑Card, BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard, BLS Certification Grace, BLS Cert Red Cross. Graduate of an accredited imaging program. Must be registered in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registered as a Technologist (ARMRIT) - Advance Registry MRI Technology within one calendar year of hire. Additional Job Information Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
