Job Description Position Summary The Production Supervisor is responsible for the production and line personnel and support the implementation of the site strategy for manufacturing. This effort includes, but is not limited to, supervising all operators and engineers. This individual works with the site manager and all engineers and operators to ensure the manufacture of high-quality products and to facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements. Essential Functions Overseas operations efficiency and standardization in the production lines Directly responsible for the production and quality of the product, as well as line personnel Analyzes and evaluates process improvements in order to reduce defects and scrap and/or improve yields Follows procedures established for each operation, and keep work areas organized and clean at all times Participates and/or lead problem-solving processes, whether due to increasing trends on complaints, defects, scrap, or low productivity, among others Monitors compliance within company policies and procedures (e.g., compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, or other regulations). Complies with all safety and health regulations for the position and the direct reports. Complies with all quality regulations for the position and the direct reports Responsible for ensuring that production processes are aligned with the company's energy policy commitments. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience 3 -5+ years of experience minimum experience in the medical industry. 3 years experience in a supervisory capacity Demonstrated knowledge of ISO and quality systems as FDA and OSHA requirements, as a plus Experience analyzing and presenting detailed or advanced metrics using tools Experience in internal and external audits regarding the Quality Management System Demonstrated proficiency in manufacturing systems used to collect data and control/monitor processes Demonstrated capacity to effectively lead/influence peers and other functions towards organizational goals Desirable at least one certification-related or applicable to the medical industry. For example, CQE, 6Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt, lean coach, problem-solving techniques, etc. Flexible attitude and the ability to deal with changing assignments and priorities Must be self-motivated and capable of working under tight deadlines Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy Strong organizational and follow-up skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Attention to detail Self-starter Advanced critical thinking and problems-solving skills Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products Physical Demands The physical demands listed here are representative of those that must be met by and employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
