Job Title: Unit Secretary Location: Monmouth Medical Center Department Name: Neonatal ICU Req #: 0000259636 Status: Hourly Shift: Day Pay Range: $17.62 - $19.57 per hour Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview: The Unit Secretary provides clerical and receptionist support for the unit and is the communication link of the multidisciplinary team. Qualifications: Required: High School diploma or equivalent. Role requires comprehension of medical terminology Scheduling Requirements: Part Time Day - 7am - 3pm Flexible Days Every other weekend Rotating weekends and holidays Essential Functions: Answers phones/intercoms in a courteous and timely manner, screens calls and refers messages appropriately Assists in the flow of department work processes by running errands to other departments as requested Functions in an emergency as a team member with guidance from supervisory personnel Maintains adequate supply of clerical materials Maintains proper order of patient charts as per established guidelines Performs duties to support the nursing staff Processes the flow of information on the nursing unit and when appropriate, with outside institutions and individuals as directed Provides accurate computer data entry of information Sorts and distributes mail Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
