• Traffic Control — Direct and manage traffic using stop/slow paddles, hand signals, and radios to keep work zones safe.
• Setup & Removal — Place cones, signs, and barricades according to state standards and company procedures.
• Site Monitoring — Watch road conditions and adjust traffic patterns to maintain a safe environment.
• Communication — Coordinate with crews, supervisors, and the public to ensure smooth operations.
• Daily Dispatch — Use a mobile app to receive assignments and travel to job sites within ~1 hour of the central shop.
• Training — Complete a 3–4 hour traffic control training course before orientation.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work 100% outdoors in all weather
• Ability to stand long periods and lift 30–50 lbs
• Professional, calm communication with the public
• Flagging certification (ATSSA) or willingness to obtain one

• Flagging Experience — Prior traffic control or construction experience is a plus
• ATSSA Certification — Highly desirable and may waive training
• Roadway/Utility Experience — Helpful but not required
• Safety Gear — Steel/composite toe boots above the ankle required

This role is 100% outdoors in active roadway and construction zones. You’ll work in heat, cold, rain, and snow , Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays. After a one‑day orientation in Greentree, PA, you’ll be dispatched daily from home via the mobile app to job sites within about a one‑hour radius.

Contract‑to‑Hire

Based out of Pittsburgh, PA

$19.00/hr — Weekly Pay

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, PA.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
