Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant (Immediate Start) | North Houston | $35-$43/hr.

Our client in North Houston needs a Staff Accountant who can start Monday . This is a contract opportunity with the potential to convert to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.

If you have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and hands-on experience supporting month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and journal entries, we want to speak with you immediately.
What You'll Be Doing

• Support monthly and year-end accounting activities
  
• Prepare and post journal entries
  
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
  
• Assist with accruals and financial statement support schedules
  
• Monitor cash activity and perform cash-related analysis
  
• Review transactions for proper accounting treatment
  
• Support internal controls and audit documentation
  
• Partner with operations, payroll, and other business units
  
• Analyze financial data and provide reporting support
  
• Help maintain accurate and timely financial records
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
  
  
• 1+ years of accounting experience
  
• Strong understanding of financial statements and general ledger accounting
  
• Experience with month-end close processes
  
• Advanced Excel skills
  
• ERP experience required; Oracle Fusion experience is highly preferred
  
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  

Compensation

$35.00 - $ 43.00/hour
