Pharmacists are needed to support inpatient hospital pharmacy operations at a major medical center in Torrance, CA. This contract opportunity offers variable afternoon shifts working four 10-hour days per week, providing a work schedule that balances focus and work/life flexibility.

The health system serves a large patient population across multiple outpatient clinics and hospitals. Pharmacists hired through this contract help meet critical operational needs while positioning themselves for potential transition to permanent unionized roles within the county health system. Successful candidates move through an onboarding process that includes a mandatory competency exam—passing is required to continue. Following this, a Livescan background check is completed prior to starting the assignment.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Hospital inpatient pharmacy background strongly preferred
• Ability to work a variable schedule with afternoon shifts, 4 ten-hour days per week
• Willingness to take and pass a competency exam and complete a background check
• Strong commitment to quality patient care and teamwork
