Our client a Japanese industrial materials manufacturer is seeking an Account Manager for their Schaumburg office.

Location: Schaumburg, IL
Salary: Depending on Experience of candidate between 55-85k
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers through responsive and professional service.
- Achieve or surpass assigned sales goals and performance objectives.
- Prepare and provide accurate, timely pricing and quotations based on customer requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments to support efficient order processing, delivery, and customer transactions.
- Keep customer information, sales activities, and communication records current in internal systems.
- Provide regular updates to management regarding sales performance, customer needs, and market opportunities.
- Expand business opportunities by developing and maintaining a network of contacts and potential leads.
- Track customer payment status and work with the finance team to support timely collections.
Requirements:
- Background in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles.
- College degree is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Confident in customer discussions and commercial negotiations.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and business software.
- Self-motivated and effective in a multicultural work environment.
- Familiarity with Japanese business practices is preferred.
- Japanese proficiency is a plus.
