Position: Stepdown Float Pool Registered Nurse

Location: Cleveland, OH

Shift Details

• Day Shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
• Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Note: Shifts may be variable based on operational needs. The facility will strive to accommodate preferred shifts but reserves the right to rotate shifts if necessary.

Job Description

Seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join the Stepdown Float Pool. This role involves providing care to patients across various units, including potential floating to units J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department. Candidates must have the ability to care for diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent nursing experience in the applicable specialty.
• Valid Ohio RN license or a compact state license is required at the time of application.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are necessary.
• Must be willing to work at least every other holiday.

Orientation and Training

During orientation, candidates will complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment. An acceptable score is necessary for continued employment, with a maximum of two attempts allowed.

Compliance and Requirements

• Candidates should have recent experience within the past 12 months, and references from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director are required.
• All required certifications must be active and available at the time of application.
• Travelers must pass a nicotine drug screen within 12 months prior to the start date.
• Background checks will be conducted, and candidates with any open cases or license hits will not be considered.

Additional Information

Candidates may extend their contract for up to 18 months, followed by a required 6-month break unless otherwise approved. Continuous contracts will necessitate completion of annual competencies to maintain compliance.
