About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join its executive management team. The COO will be a key leader in articulating and implementing the strategic vision, with a focus on membership strategy, facilities management, financial stability, community relations, and organizational planning. This role requires a passionate and experienced individual with a strong background in executive leadership, particularly in a multi-site, diverse community-serving organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a positive and inclusive organizational culture, developing and executing membership strategies, and overseeing the management of physical assets. Operational leadership, strategic framework integration, and financial management are also critical aspects of the position. Applicants for the COO role at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of organizational executive leadership experience, a proven track record in leading high-performing teams, and a comprehensive understanding of membership acquisition, volunteer recruitment, philanthropy, and fiscal management. The role demands a leader with excellent communication skills, a strong ability to build relationships, and a commitment to the values of diversity, inclusiveness, and empowerment. The COO will work closely with the CEO and the Board of Directors to ensure the organization's goals are met and will be expected to represent the company at various public events and networking opportunities. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, with an advanced degree strongly desired, and a background in a related field such as nonprofit, government, or philanthropy is essential.
