As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with talented colleagues while developing and expanding your career.The Process Automation Engineer role will provide automation system support and expertise to enable our manufacturing division in the reliable and compliant supply of quality vaccine products to customers and patients across the globe.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot challenging equipment/automation issues and innovation to improve manufacturing performanceMaintain the automation systems in compliance with cGMPs through the life cycle of the equipment (initial qualification through retirement)Provide support as an automated systems Subject Matter Expert within an existing production team, including technical assistance in fulfilling the automation requirements for the teamSupport peers in areas of expertise to ensure the success of the teamReview automation documents, preventive maintenance, and SOPs to ensure compliance with GMP and safetyDevelop and support corrective actions for investigations related to automation or IT systemsUse technical knowledge to assure the efficient operation of a variety of automated processing and information technology systemsParticipate in audits and training programsProvide on-floor support of manufacturing activitiesGenerate and implement change controls to meet the needs of the facilityProvide on-call support for off-shifts and weekends, as part of a rotation with other team membersQualificationsRequiredBachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering, Computer Science or related fieldMinimum of five (5) years of experience in manufacturing automation-related role within a regulated industryDemonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members, peers, and functional leadersDemonstrated leadership in achieving shared objectives within a matrixed organizationStrong understanding of manufacturing principles and processes, with the ability to translate manufacturing requirements into automation and digital solutionsProven analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skillsDemonstrated ability to apply and model the company’s Leadership PrinciplesHigh level of personal integrity, credibility, and energyStrong technical writing and verbal communication skillsProject Management ExperienceUnderstanding of System validation and other Quality management functionsExperience with navigating/troubleshooting Process Control systems, with preferred experience in the following: Emerson DeltaV DCS, Allen-Bradley (Rockwell) PLCs, OPC, Modbus/Fieldbus/Profibus and other related technologiesPreferredUnderstanding and ability to apply regulatory/compliance requirements relative to their roleNetworking, Virtual Machines, Database management and other general IT administrationDirect experience with SDLC and change controls for a GMP regulated process/systemRequired Skills: Change Controls, Cross-Functional Teamwork, DeltaV DCS, Foundation Fieldbus, IT Infrastructure Design, Manufacturing Information Systems, Manufacturing Systems, Modbus, OPC Servers, Profibus, Project Management, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Technical WritingPreferred Skills: Regulatory Compliance, SDLC Project Management, Virtual Machines (VM)Current Employees apply HERECurrent Contingent Workers apply HEREUS and Puerto Rico Residents Only:Our company is committed to inclusion, ensuring that candidates can engage in a hiring process that exhibits their true capabilities.
