About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President for a newly established business unit, LabPilot, which is dedicated to laboratory software, connectivity, and data management solutions. This role is pivotal in leading the strategic and operational aspects of the business, with a focus on expanding into the software and services layer of the laboratory market. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and owning the LabPilot product strategy, including P&L, product vision, commercial model, and competitive positioning. This is a build role that requires the VP to assemble and lead a high-performing product team, drive the business towards a market-leading position, and ensure the product portfolio aligns with commercial opportunities and technical feasibility. Applicants for the Vice President, LabPilot position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' experience in product management, software product leadership, or general management of a software or technology business, with a strong preference for those with a background in scientific instrumentation, lab informatics, or laboratory automation. The role demands a leader with a proven track record in P&L ownership, experience in building and leading product teams, and a working knowledge of lab informatics concepts. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, with an advanced degree being a plus, and a history of commercial model transformation. Strong executive presence, commercial confidence, and the ability to foster a product culture that is fast-moving, customer-obsessed, and commercially rigorous are essential for this position.
