THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOININGPrivately held company with a strong presence in retail and consumer engagementPartners with nationally recognized brands across diverse industriesAgile, collaborative team known for bringing big ideas to lifeFast-moving, cross-functional team known for delivering innovative solutions WHAT THEY OFFER YOUWork that intersects culture, consumer behavior, and brand strategyEntrepreneurial team environment with strong creative and strategic backingCommitment to measurable outcomes and long-term client partnershipsA chance to shape programs that influence how people shop, connect, and experience brands Location:On-site 5 days a week in University Area RESPONSIBILITIES:Serve as a core member of the leadership team to lead development of the company's financial strategy and long-term planningLead all core financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and monthly and quarterly reportingOversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and vendor payments to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and financial disciplineEstablish and maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures that support operational efficiency and protect profitabilityLead the month-end close process, transitioning ownership from external accounting partners to an efficient, accurate, and scalable in-house finance functionPartner with executive leadership to evaluate business performance and support decision-making across pricing, staffing, growth initiatives, client strategy and corporate transactionsPrepare and present financial updates to leadership and board-level stakeholdersDevelop financial insights into client, project, and service line profitability to identify trends, risks, and opportunitiesBuild and maintain financial models and scenario analyses to support planning, hiring, and growth initiativesProvide financial input on contracts, partnerships, and new business opportunities to support informed decision-makingDeliver actionable insights into margin drivers, cost structure, and utilization to improve overall business performancePartner cross-functionally with account and production teams to align financial plans with operational executionStrengthen visibility into the full revenue lifecycle—from project scoping and budgeting to invoicing and margin realizationLead the financial planning process, including annual budgets and rolling forecastsDevelop clear and consistent reporting that enables leadership to track performance against goalsEvaluate and enhance financial systems, tools, and reporting infrastructure to support a growing organizationImplement more efficient processes and workflows to improve accuracy, scalability, and visibilityBring structure and financial rigor to a fast-paced, project-based operating environmentBACKGROUND THAT FITS:10+ years of finance or accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership roleExperience in agency, project-based, or services environments strongly preferredStrong understanding of project-based financial management, including client profitability, WIP accounting, and revenue recognitionDemonstrated ability to operate as a hands-on leader in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentProven ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights and recommendationsExperience building or improving financial processes, reporting, and systemsStrong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across functionsProficiency in accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Hubspot, ADP) and advanced Excel/Google SheetsReference: 70038
