About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP, Finance to take on a pivotal role in the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning the finance function and serving as a strategic thought partner to the CEO and leadership team. This role demands a leader who is not only adept at the traditional finance responsibilities but is also eager to engage in problem-solving beyond the confines of the finance domain. The VP, Finance will be expected to have a deep understanding of the company's operations, a strong point of view on key decisions, and the ability to provide rigorous financial analysis to support strategic initiatives. Key responsibilities for the VP, Finance include FP&A, management reporting, budgeting, and resource allocation, as well as overseeing cash and treasury, accounting, and deal desk functions. The ideal candidate will have a background in strategic finance, FP&A, or similar roles, with a proven track record of at least 8 years. They should possess a strong command of financial statements, forecasting, cash management, and corporate finance, and have experience in influencing business decisions through data and analysis. The role also requires the ability to build and improve financial systems and processes, and to be a trusted partner to the CEO, with the potential to lead beyond the finance function as the role evolves. The VP, Finance should be a great listener, hungry for feedback, and demonstrate ownership and a player-coach mentality. The role is suited to a business problem solver who is an information worker, and who is dedicated to the mission of the organization. While experience in B2B services, education, technology-enabled services, M&A, fundraising, or transactional work is helpful, it is not a strict requirement. The focus is on aptitude, trajectory, and a history of exceptional performance.
