Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid special education teaching certification (current and in good standing)
• Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students in resource settings
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
• Collaborative mindset for working with general education teachers, aides, and support staff
• Excellent organizational skills to monitor and document student progress

Primary Accountabilities:

• Provide instruction and support for students with diverse learning needs in resource classrooms (elementary or middle school, based on assignment)
• Adapt lessons and materials to meet IEP goals and individual student objectives
• Assess student skills and track progress, updating records and collaborating on IEP meetings
• Communicate regularly with families, counselors, and staff to address needs and support student success
• Establish a welcoming, safe classroom environment that encourages growth, confidence, and independence
