Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Demonstrated experience working with students with severe disabilities, preferably at the middle school level
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, families, and staff
• Skilled in adapting curriculum, behavioral interventions, and providing differentiated instruction
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to fostering an inclusive classroom culture

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver specialized instruction tailored to each student’s needs and IEP goals
• Manage a self-contained middle school classroom, fostering a supportive and safe environment
• Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, support staff, and families to support student progress
• Develop, document, and regularly update Individualized Education Plans
• Track and communicate academic and behavioral progress to families and administrators
• Engage in professional development to stay current with best practices in special education
