Senior Appian Consultant / Technical Lead

What You’ll Do Senior Appian Consultants provide integrated architecture support for delivery teams and act as trusted advisors to our clients. They help scale our business by delivering expert guidance on solution delivery, designing and integrating cutting‑edge Appian solutions into client architectures, mentoring delivery teams on best practices, and implementing internal processes and tools to improve business efficiencies. Who You’ll Be Collaborating With You’ll work alongside a diverse, enthusiastic, multidisciplinary team of Appian alumni who have decades of experience delivering mission‑critical Appian solutions at scale. What You’ll Be Working On Lead implementation teams through complex technical solutions with Appian and accompanying technologies. Support design, development, and testing activities. Guide clients on architecture design, configuration management, DevSecOps, and other program initiatives to drive technical success. Ensure solutions are built for scale and performance. Create and document implementation best practices as well as knowledge‑base articles for internal enablement. Provide thought leadership on process improvement. Support internal solutions, infrastructure, and tools. Mentor, train, and enable resources. Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience with Appian solutions. 5+ years of related IT experience. Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or related area. Active Appian Senior or Lead Certification. Strong experience with Appian delivery using Agile methodology. Strong technical design, implementation, and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex concepts in an easy‑to‑understand manner. Active listening, analytical, and strategic foresight. Strong organizational skills; attention to detail; ability to multitask and work in a high‑paced environment. Team‑building skills and a “do whatever it takes” attitude. Hybrid position – on‑site at McLean, VA or remote. U.S. Citizen (no dual citizenship). Active security clearance or clearable. Technologies (Required) Appian RDBMS (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL/MariaDB) Web services, integrations and middleware (RESTful/SOAP, Mule/IIB/Fusion) Additional Experience (Plus) Cloud Computing / IaaS (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Authentication (SAML, Kerberos, OAuth, LDAP) Data management and data visualization / BI DevSecOps and/or Configuration Management Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence Skills & Certifications Active Appian Senior or Lead Certification.
