Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 5 months Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Must-Have: Recent EPIC experience Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to patient health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and promotes health in a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for patients or their situations. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide care in a safe and humane environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and wellbeing of associates and patients through required vaccinations for employment. Ensures adherence to participation and right to work regulations. Provides intensive, comprehensive care and monitoring for patients. Supports a mix of medical, surgical, and cardiac intensive patients.
