This role offers an attractive hourly pay package ($273.00/hour), a stable overnight schedule (7 pm–7 am, in-house call), and multiple shifts available in May/June 2026 with ongoing days needed. Quick Facts Location: 16001 West Nine Mile Road, Southfield, MI 48075 Start Date: 05/10/2026 End Date/Duration: Ongoing (locum coverage for scheduled shifts; ongoing days needed) Shift: 7 pm–7 am (in-house call) Hours/week: Not specified Employment Type: Locum Tenens License/Certs: BLS, NRP Experience: Neonatology fellowship required Pay & Benefits Pay: $273.00/hour Benefits: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit (W-2) Comprehensive medical benefits Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time (in accordance with applicable state/federal/local laws) Licensure/certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable 24/7 dedicated team support throughout your time with VHS What You’ll Do Provide in-house neonatology coverage for a Level 3 NICU Manage care for an expected 0–4 admissions per day (and an average of 12 patients per day ) Provide neonatal stabilization and ongoing inpatient management , including neonate transfers Participate in in-house call coverage during the overnight scheduleCollaborate with the NICU care team using Cerner / eCare / PowerChart documentation systems Support clinical decisions related to a Level 3 NICU environment, including attending C-sections (required) What You Need Required Board Certified (BC) or truly Board Eligible (BE) Neonatology fellowship training (required) BLS and NRP Active ability to cover overnight 7 pm–7 am in-house call State license in hand is required (providers needing to obtain state license will not be accepted) Preferred Experience working in a Level 3 NICU setting Comfort with neonatology documentation using Cerner / eCare / PowerChart About the Assignment You’ll join an established NICU team providing in-house coverage at Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital (Level 3 NICU) in Southfield, Michigan. Coverage includes specific overnight shifts in May/June 2026 (with temps approved), plus ongoing days needed. The facility is currently requesting locum support due to resignation of an existing neonatologist.
