Recruitment CoordinatorBe a part of an innovative and collaborative team driving a safer transportation system for Arizona.Job Location: 206 S. 17th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85007Salary Range: $61,663.37 – $71,663.37 Anticipated Salary: $66,663.37 Grade: 20 Closing Date: 08/17/2026Job Summary: This position will serve as an HR Generalist supporting divisions within ADOT by coordinating recruitment and operation efforts. The position will partner with hiring managers, HR Business Partners, HR Liaisons, and field HR administrative service officers to support recruitment, on-boarding, job changes, and other employee changes. This position will also support various operational tasks including, but not limited to, ADOT's Commercial Drug and Alcohol (CDL) program, employment verification, position maintenance, and other human resources inquiries and processes.Job Duties:Collaborate with ADOT hiring managers and HR support staff to determine recruitment needs.Facilitate the recruitment process flow within established personnel rules and department policies/processes.Facilitate HR operational functions (AZ360 entry, onboarding, 1-9, CDL verification, employee inquiry, etc.) and other HR actions as business need dictates.Responsible for providing customer service and general HR support and guidance for Recruitment, Operations, CDL Verification/Coordination, and Classification & Compensation.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): Knowledge of:Current principles, practices and methods used in the administration of an HR program.Federal and state employment laws, statutes, rules and regulations.Agency policies, rules and regulations.Principles and practices of modern organizational development.Recruitment principles, and practices inclusive of DE&I (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion).Skill in:Communicating effectively verbally and in writing, establishing priorities among conflicting needs.Developing and implementing various improvement initiatives.Analyze and evaluate administrative data such as job descriptions, resumes, and candidate packages.Demonstrated analytical and data evaluation skills.The operation of computer software (i.e MS Word, MS Excel, Google Suite, Google Meets, Adobe, docusign, etc).Ability to:Analyze specific problem situations and determine acceptable solutions within the framework of laws, rules and regulations.Perform research, collect and analyze data and report information.Negotiates and applies reason, knowledge, and process to persuasively resolve employee concerns.Comprehend and make inference from written material.Model principles of continuous improvement to streamline and produce quality work/processes and service for all customers.Selective Preference(s): Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or closely related field, Previous experience in the public sector/state service, Two years of experience in Human Resources or equivalent, HR CertificationsPre-Employment Requirements: This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, and the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver's license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver's license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
