Greenhill:Greenhill, a part of Mizuho Americas, provides M&A, restructuring, and private capital advisory capabilities across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.Job Summary:Greenhill’s New York based Investment Banking group is seeking an experienced Investment Banking Vice President to join its M&A team. This group works across industry sectors and primarily focuses on M&A transactions.Greenhill Investment Banking Vice Presidents are directly involved in the design, origination, structuring and execution of mergers & acquisitions, including both buy-side, sell-side and other strategic advisory mandates for existing and prospective clients. A Vice President is expected to understand the implications, identify key industry and product trends and provide input on pitch and deal materials to enhance the ultimate deliverable to our clients.Vice Presidents are assigned to a variety of projects and are given a broad range of responsibilities, some of which include:Conduct extensive quantitative economic, industry and company research and analysisDraft and prepare pitch books with detailed industry materialsConduct and model a broad range of corporate finance alternatives and due diligence for client transactions including buy-side M&A, sell-side M&A and other strategic advisory mandatesFinancial modeling, valuation, comparable & relative value analyses and market-specific analysis including building discounted cash flow, comparable companies, precedent transactions, leveraged buyout and merger combination analyses modelFacilitate and coordinate idea generation and solutions development with relevant groups across Mizuho | GreenhillDevelop and prepare client presentations and materials with a focus on quality, accuracy and timelinessAssist in the evaluation, preparation, due diligence and execution of M&A transactionsAssist in the development and continued cultivation of client relationshipsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years investment banking, corporate finance, and M&A experience with a top tier investment bank OR an MBA concentrating in Finance and a current Vice President (or equivalent) at a top tier investment bankKnowledge of corporate finance, securities, financial markets and risk & pricing analysisExperience in M&A Investment Banking a strong plusAptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative ideas and/or product solutionsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyMaturity and good judgement in handling confidential and sensitive informationAbility to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlinesStrong written and oral communication skills and ability to convey ideasCreativity and intellectual curiosityAbility to work independently and must be able to work effectively in a team environmentProficiency with FactSet, CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, Microsoft OfficeSeries 79 & 63NOTE: This Job Description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, efforts or working conditions associated with this job.
