Job DescriptionAs a Security Guard Part Time Unarmed Route Patrol in Sterling, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and use technology to document security-related activities. Job Schedule:
DayTimeThur10:00 PM - 06:00 AMFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and media location.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor entry requirements, and maintain accurate logs and reports in accordance with site procedures.
- Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding observed conditions, incidents, and follow-up needs.
Minimum Requirements:
- CPR certification is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A valid guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
